A former US Border Patrol agent has been sentenced to 25 months in prison for possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material.
The defendant, John Doe, pleaded guilty to the charges in a federal court in Albuquerque, New Mexico on March 12, 2024.
According to the indictment, John Doe knowingly possessed and distributed child pornography between January 1, 2020 and January 31, 2022.
The case was investigated by the US Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Professional Responsibility and the US Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations.
