Favio Rodas Cardona, a 32-year-old Guatemalan national, has been sentenced to 12 months in prison for illegal reentry after previously being removed from the United States.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, Rodas Cardona was arrested for sexual abuse of children and related charges in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, on November 5, 2025.
Rodas Cardona had previously been removed from the United States pursuant to a court order in 2013.
He pleaded guilty to illegal reentry before being sentenced by Senior United States District Judge Malachy E. Mannion.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations investigated the case, with Assistant United States Attorney Kelley K. McGraw prosecuting the case.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that aims to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protect our communities from violent crime.
Rodas Cardona’s sentencing serves as a reminder that those who break the law and attempt to reenter the country will face consequences.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania will continue to work tirelessly to protect the citizens of this district and enforce the law.
