FBI Delays Ferguson Answers
FERGUSON, MO – The FBI and local prosecutors announced Friday that the investigation into the shooting death of Michael Brown is ongoing, but details remain scarce.
At a joint press conference, FBI Special Agent in Charge William P. Woods, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri Richard G. Callahan and Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division Molly Moran revealed that agents have already conducted several interviews with witnesses on the scene of the shooting.
However, the officials stopped short of providing any specific information about the investigation or the status of the case.
According to the officials, teams of FBI agents will be canvassing the neighborhood where the shooting took place to identify any individuals who may have information related to the shooting and have not yet come forward. The public is being asked to cooperate and be patient as the investigation continues.
The FBI is urging anyone with information related to the shooting to contact them at (800) CALL-FBI, option 4.
The Attorney General of the United States promised a thorough and complete investigation into the shooting death of Michael Brown when the investigation first began, and that investigation is indeed proceeding, according to the officials.
As the investigation continues, the community remains on edge, waiting for answers about the circumstances surrounding Michael Brown’s death.
The FBI’s canvassing efforts are expected to continue over the next several days, and the public is being asked to remain vigilant and report any information they may have to the authorities.
