Grimy Times Exclusive: Armed Robbery Charges Rock St. Louis
A brazen robbery at the Kohl’s department store in Manchester, Missouri, has landed a 33-year-old St. Louis man behind bars. Mercedes W. Gregory, 33, made an initial appearance in federal court on February 22, 2022, to face charges of robbery and weapon violations.
According to the indictment, on July 12, 2021, Gregory entered the Kohl’s store, located in the city of Manchester, and began stealing merchandise. When confronted by a Loss Prevention Officer in the parking lot, Gregory threatened him with a handgun, which is a serious firearms violation.
Gregory is prohibited from possessing a handgun after previously being convicted of a felony. The defendant was taken into custody on unrelated charges in the City of St. Louis on July 23, 2021.
