On October 17, 2025, the Rapid City Police Department responded to a report of gunshots, leading to the arrest of Bradley Two Eagle, a 27-year-old Rapid City man. Two Eagle, a previously convicted felon, was found with ammunition and a methamphetamine syringe, sparking a federal investigation. He was indicted in November 2025 and pleaded guilty on January 28, 2026.
Two Eagle’s troubles began when he gave a false identity to law enforcement and then fled, discarding ammunition as he ran. He was quickly caught and found to be in possession of a methamphetamine syringe, making his ammunition possession a federal felony.
On May 8, 2026, U.S. District Judge Karen E. Schreier sentenced Two Eagle to two years and six months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and protecting communities from perpetrators. The operation streamlines efforts from the Department of Justice’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces and Project Safe Neighborhoods.
