Dana Lee Scott, Jr., a 25-year-old felon from Waterloo, Iowa, was caught with a gun by police officers conducting surveillance on a home in Waterloo. The incident led to a search of the home, where the firearm was found. Scott pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a felon on February 2, 2026. He was sentenced to 12 months and one day in federal prison for his crime.
