Nathan Frazier Stark, 48, walked into a Dubuque, Iowa kitchen on January 24, 2024, with a gun and a bag of meth. He’s now walking into a federal prison cell, sentenced to 37 months for violating the law as a convicted domestic abuser with a firearm.
Stark’s world came crashing down after a Dubuque Police Department search of his home uncovered a revolver with an obliterated serial number, 2.35 grams of meth, and Stark’s cell phone.
Stark’s guilty plea was made in September 2025, admitting to possessing the firearm after his domestic violence conviction.
Stark’s sentence was handed down April 23, 2026, by United States District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
