Raymond Edward Braun, 40, of Wimauma, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge James S. Moody, Jr. on October 15, 2013.
Braun pleaded guilty on July 2, 2013, to being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, despite being prohibited from doing so due to his previous felony convictions.
According to court documents, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint on March 20, 2013, that Braun was in possession of a rifle. Deputies arrived at Braun’s residence and recovered the loaded rifle, which contained six rounds of ammunition.
