Cory Daigle, Felon in Possession of Firearms, Massachusetts 2026

⏱ 2 min read

Cory Daigle, a 31-year-old convicted firearms trafficker from Revere, Massachusetts, was arrested on June 25, 2026, for possessing at least eight firearms, over 100 rounds of ammunition, and additional firearm components. This came just weeks after his release from prison for previous firearms-related offenses. Daigle’s latest arrest is a stark example of the ongoing struggle to curb firearms trafficking in the Boston area.

Daigle’s history with firearms trafficking is alarming. In August 2024, he was convicted of unlawfully trafficking in firearms, possessing a machinegun, and receiving or possessing an unregistered firearm, among other offenses. He served approximately two years in prison before being released. The fact that he was found with a significant cache of firearms and ammunition so soon after his release raises serious concerns about public safety.

The investigation and arrest were the result of a collaborative effort between the Revere and Boston Police Departments, along with federal agencies such as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Julissa Walsh of the Major Crimes Unit.

Daigle is charged with being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition, which carries a sentence of up to 15 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of $250,000. As the case moves forward, it will be closely watched as an example of the federal government’s efforts to combat firearms trafficking and reduce gun violence in urban areas.
