Robert Richard Jodoin, GHB Importation Fentanyl Distribution, Florida 2018

Flagler Beach, Florida – Robert Richard Jodoin, a 50-year-old resident of Flagler Beach, has been sentenced to 10 years and 10 months in federal prison for importing GHB into the United States, distributing benzoyl fentanyl, possessing N-Ethylhexedrone with intent to distribute, maintaining a residence for drug distribution, and using a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes. The court also ordered Jodoin to forfeit the web domain PRIMALVISIONS.NET, which he used to peddle drugs.

Jodoin pleaded guilty on February 6, 2019, after an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) revealed he had sold a variety of controlled substances through his website to drug overdose victims across the country.

On May 26, 2018, Jodoin attempted to pick up a package containing over 100 grams of N-Ethylhexedrone from the Flagler Beach Post Office. He was arrested as he exited the building after law enforcement observed his transaction. During a search at his residence, authorities found drug packaging materials, a firearm, and evidence of online drug sales.

Additionally, Jodoin’s criminal activities extended beyond drugs; in May 2018, he posted an advertisement on his website offering $1,300 to anyone who would ‘take out’ his girlfriend. He also solicited an undercover agent to harm her via text message.

This case underscores the efforts of multiple law enforcement agencies in dismantling drug trafficking operations and keeping communities safe. Assistant United States Attorney Laura Cofer Taylor prosecuted the case, which was investigated by the DEA, USPIS, HSI, ATF, Florida National Guard Counterdrug Program, Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, and Flagler Beach Police Department.

HSI Tampa Special Agent in Charge James C. Spero commented on the sentence, ‘Our communities are safer with this criminal and his drugs off our streets.’ Jodoin now faces a decade of federal imprisonment for his crimes.
