Breshawn Hamilton, Child Pornography Production, Florida 2020

Miami, Florida – Today, U.S. District Judge Rodney Smith slammed the book on Breshawn Hamilton, a 21-year-old Fort Lauderdale menace, with a 40-year federal prison sentence for producing and possessing child pornography, coerced minors into explicit acts, and engaging in sextortion.

From October 2019 to November 2020, Hamilton, under the guise of youthful pretense, targeted at least seven minor females aged 11 to 15 via social networking sites. He extorted them for nude images and videos, threatening to disseminate them unless they met his sinister demands. His crimes didn’t stop there; Hamilton raped several victims in their homes after coercing them.

On August 17, 2021, Hamilton copped to charges including coerced minor, production of child pornography, interstate extortionate threats, and possession of child pornography. The Southern District of Florida’s U.S. Attorney Juan Antonio Gonzalez and Special Agent in Charge Anthony Salisbury of HSI Miami made the sentencing announcement, emphasizing their commitment to protecting children.

HSI Fort Lauderdale, with support from local law enforcement agencies, investigated this case. Assistant United States Attorney Ajay Alexander prosecuted it. This conviction is a part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide effort to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
