Montgomery, Alabama – The streets of Millbrook have been hit with a significant arrest as 37-year-old Freddie Lee Parker, Jr., has been charged on federal levels for distribution of crack cocaine and using a firearm during drug transactions, according to George L. Beck, Jr., the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama.
The indictments against Parker are merely accusations at this stage, with the defendant being presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
Yesterday’s arrest took place at Parker’s residence in Millbrook’s “Sandtown” area. The investigation leading to his capture was a collaborative effort involving several law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Safe Streets Violent Gang Task Force, the Central Alabama Drug Task Force, Elmore County Sheriff’s Office, Millbrook Police Department, and Wetumpka Police Department.
Assistant United States Attorney Verne Speirs is tasked with prosecuting this case. The FBI’s Central Alabama Violent Gang Safe Streets Task Force was established to combat the escalating violence in the region by targeting criminals involved in drug trafficking, money laundering, alien smuggling, murder, assault, robbery, and other violent offenses.
This task force leverages federal, state, and local resources to effectively investigate, arrest, and convict these dangerous individuals. The press contact for further information is Clark Morris, who can be reached at usaalm.press@usdoj.gov or by calling (334) 551-1755.
