ORLANDO, FL – Five members of the ‘Oviedo Soldiers’ drug trafficking organization have been sentenced to federal prison for their roles in a heroin conspiracy and firearms charges.

Freddrick Dorr (46, Oviedo), James Dellafield, Jr. (24, Sanford), Beth Farber (30, Orlando), and George Materazzi (46, Orlando) were sentenced to federal prison for their involvement in a heroin trafficking organization that distributed heroin, cocaine, and other narcotics in Seminole and Orange Counties.

According to court documents, the defendants were affiliated with the ‘Oviedo Soldiers’ organization, which was also known to law enforcement as the source of several violent crimes in the area. During the investigation, agents recovered multiple firearms, and each of the defendants has a criminal history involving drugs, firearms, and/or violent crimes.

Dellafield received a sentence of seven years in federal prison, Dorr was sentenced to six years’ imprisonment, Farber was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment, and Materazzi received a sentence of three years and one month in federal prison.

The investigation and prosecution of the ‘Oviedo Soldiers’ organization was a collaborative effort between federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.

Assistant United States Attorney Embry J. Kidd prosecuted the case, which highlights the importance of combining resources to combat violent crime and drug trafficking in communities.

The sentencings send a clear message to criminals that law enforcement will use every investigative technique possible to ensure the dismantling of criminal organizations in our communities.
