Freddy Wayne Jimenez, Assault and Battery, Montana 2013

Freddy Wayne Jimenez, a 40-year-old resident of Browning, has been found guilty of six counts of assault resulting in serious bodily injury and four counts of assault with a dangerous weapon in a federal district court trial in Great Falls, Montana.

The trial, which took place on July 25, 2013, before Chief U.S. District Judge Dana L. Christensen, revealed shocking evidence of Jimenez’s brutal abuse of his wife and children.

According to the prosecution, Jimenez beat and strangled his wife on two occasions, leaving her with broken ribs that were floating in her body and a fractured finger.

He also tortured his children, cutting them with machetes, hitting them with metal bars, breaking beer bottles over them, and slamming them into vehicles. When his children were down, crying in pain, Jimenez would taunt them, saying, ‘You better stand up, you pussy.’

Jimenez even told outsiders that he wanted one of his sons dead and that he was going to kill his entire family.

Despite his claims that he never touched his children, except for spanking one of them one time, Jimenez wrote a letter admitting, ‘I beat up my wife and kids.’

Assistant U.S. Attorney Ryan G. Weldon prosecuted the case for the United States.

Jimenez faces possible penalties of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and 3 years supervised release on each count.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Sentencing is set for October 22, 2013.

Jimenez is currently detained.
