Christopher Tucker, a 34-year-old Topsham man, was sentenced to 37 months in prison for failing to surrender to serve a previous sentence for firearms offenses. The sentence will be served consecutively to his existing 75-month prison term. Tucker pleaded guilty on February 17, 2026, and was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Judge Lance E. Walker in U.S. District Court in Portland, Maine.
Tucker was originally sentenced to 75 months in prison in September 2025 for firearms offenses, but was allowed to remain out on release until he was supposed to self-surrender to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. However, he failed to do so, prompting the U.S. Marshals Service to track him down and arrest him in Bath.
The U.S. Marshals Service investigated the case, which ended with Tucker’s sentencing on top of his existing prison term. He will also serve three years of supervised release after completing his prison sentence.
