Lancaster Man Charged with Illegal Reentry After Deportation
Gabriel Bazan-Hernandez, of Lancaster, PA, has been charged with a serious crime that threatens national security and public safety.
According to the indictment, Bazan-Hernandez, a native and citizen of Mexico, was found in the United States after having been deported from the country on or about October 23, 2007 and March 14, 2012.
The indictment alleges that the defendant committed this crime on or about May 21, 2017, in the state of Pennsylvania.
Acting United States Attorney Louis D. Lappen announced the charges against Bazan-Hernandez, which were brought by Assistant United States Attorney Albert S. Glenn.
Law enforcement agencies involved in the case include U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations.
If convicted, Bazan-Hernandez faces a maximum possible sentence of ten years.
