Gabriel Lebron, Felon in Possession of Firearm and Narcotics, Massachusetts 2025

BOSTON, MA – In a shocking turn of events, Gabriel Lebron, a 35-year-old Northampton man, was sentenced to eight years in prison for firearm and narcotics offenses while on federal supervised release.

The devastating incident took place on April 9, 2025, when law enforcement in Hadley responded to a 911 call about a man brandishing a firearm in the lobby of the Howard Johnson hotel. Upon arrival, officers found Lebron in possession of a loaded Jimenez Arms, Model JA 25, .25 caliber semi-automatic pistol containing five rounds of .25 caliber ammunition, including one in the chamber.

Additionally, Lebron was found with 10 ‘snap caps’ of crack cocaine and two bundles of heroin. He was immediately taken into custody. At the time of his offense, Lebron was on federal supervised release for a Vermont firearms conviction of possessing a loaded ghost gun with a laser sight and multiple rounds of ammunition.

In September 2025, Lebron pleaded guilty to one count each of felon in possession of firearm and ammunition and possession with intent to distribute cocaine base and heroin. U.S. District Court Judge Mark G. Mastroianni handed down the sentence, which includes seven years in prison for the firearm and narcotic charges and one year in prison for violating the conditions of his supervised release, to be served consecutively.

The charges against Lebron stem from a prior conviction in federal court for possessing a loaded ghost gun and ammunition and various firearms and drug offenses in state court. Lebron’s sentence is a harsh reminder of the consequences of violating the law and the importance of strict supervision for those on release.

Lebron’s case is a testament to the tireless efforts of law enforcement agencies, including the Hadley Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police, who provided valuable assistance in the investigation. U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley and Thomas Greco, Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Boston Field Division, made the announcement.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven H. Breslow of the Springfield Branch Office prosecuted the case, ensuring that Lebron faced justice for his crimes. This sentence sends a clear message that those who break the law will be held accountable and face severe consequences.
