Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Minor Lands Oklahoma Man in Prison for 30 Years

In a shocking case of child abuse, Garret James Walkos, a 26-year-old man from Red Oak, Oklahoma, was sentenced to 360 months in prison for aggravated sexual abuse of a minor in Indian Country.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Choctaw Nation Lighthorse Criminal Investigations, which led the investigation, Walkos pleaded guilty to the charge on May 29, 2025. The Honorable John C. Coughenour, a U.S. District Judge sitting by assignment, presided over the hearing.
