Orlando, Florida – The grim halls of justice have again echoed with the sound of a guilty plea, as Jamaican national Garville Gary Gayle (37) was sentenced to one year and six months in federal prison for illegal reentry by a deported alien. The sentence handed down by U.S. District Judge Julie S. Sneed on June 3, 2025, comes after Gayle’s conviction on June 3, 2025.
Garville Gayle, a citizen and national of Jamaica, has had his fair share of run-ins with the law in the United States. He was first deported on November 19, 2009, following convictions for possession of marijuana with intent to sell. His second expulsion came on May 26, 2016, after being found guilty of illegal reentry.
However, Gayle’s determination to return to the land of his alleged crimes did not fade with each deportation. On April 29, 2024, he was once more found within U.S. borders when Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested him for possession of cocaine. His latest conviction added another felony charge to his rap sheet.
This case, a stark reminder of the consequences of illegal reentry, was meticulously investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement Removal Operations (ERO). Special Assistant United States Attorney Matthew Del Mastro prosecuted the charges with unwavering resolve.
The court documents paint a picture of a man who has repeatedly ignored the legal boundaries set forth by the United States, defying both his own safety and that of the communities he has targeted. This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a Department of Justice initiative aimed at eradicating illegal immigration, dismantling cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and safeguarding our communities from violent crime.
As Gayle begins his sentence, it is clear that the federal justice system will not tolerate repeated violations of its borders or laws. His fate serves as a stark warning to others who may consider taking similar paths.
