George Jimenez, Child Exploitation, Texas 2019

A Brazoria man has been ordered to federal prison after he was convicted of sending obscene photos and messages to a 13-year-old girl.

According to a recent press release, U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Brown convicted George Jimenez, 46, of two counts of transfer of obscene material to a minor and coercion and enticement of a minor.

The judge sentenced Jimenez to 240 months in federal prison for the coercion and enticement of a minor conviction and 120 months for the transfer of obscene material to a minor conviction. The sentences will run concurrently for a total of 240 months in prison.

Jimenez was also ordered to serve 10 years on supervised release following completion of his prison term. During that time, he will have to comply with numerous requirements designed to restrict his access to children and the internet.

Jimenez will also be ordered to register as a sex offender.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood (PSC), a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Jimenez’s actions were discovered in April 2019, when law enforcement found that he had sent pictures of his genitals to a 13-year-old girl and other minors using the TextNow application. He had been using the application to disguise himself as a teenage boy to engage in sexually explicit conversations with minors.

Jimenez is currently in custody pending transfer to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility to be determined in the near future.
