Child Sexual Assault Charges Filed in Wisconsin

A Kansas man has been indicted for a 2019 child sexual assault on the Menominee Indian Reservation in Wisconsin. Gerald L. Pamaska, Jr., 54, has been charged with Aggravated Sexual Abuse in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 2241(c) and 1153(a). If convicted, Pamaska faces a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 30 years and up to life in prison.

According to court documents, on or about July 25, 2019, Pamaska engaged in a sexual act with a child who was under 12 years of age at a location on the Menominee Indian Reservation. The Menominee Tribal Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated the case, which Assistant United States Attorney Andrew J. Maier will prosecute.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006. Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
