Child Sexual Assault Charges Filed in Wisconsin

A Kansas man has been indicted for a 2019 child sexual assault on the Menominee Indian Reservation in Wisconsin. Gerald L. Pamaska, Jr., 54, has been charged with Aggravated Sexual Abuse in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 2241(c) and 1153(a). If convicted, Pamaska faces a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 30 years and up to life in prison.

According to court documents, on or about July 25, 2019, Pamaska engaged in a sexual act with a child who was under 12 years of age at a location on the Menominee Indian Reservation. The Menominee Tribal Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated the case, which Assistant United States Attorney Andrew J. Maier will prosecute.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006. Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.

An indictment is only a charge and not evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the government must prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Gerald L. Pamaska, Jr., Aggravated Sexual Abuse, is the title of the indictment filed against the defendant. The charges carry a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 30 years and up to life in prison.

Law enforcement agencies involved in the case include the Menominee Tribal Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Andrew J. Maier will prosecute the case.

Gerald L. Pamaska, Jr. is currently residing in Lawrence, Kansas. The case is ongoing and the outcome is yet to be determined.
