Steven Glover, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, New York 2022

Glover’s Gun Grip: Jamestown Felon Pleads Guilty

Steven Glover, Sr., a 39-year-old Jamestown resident, has pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm, putting him at risk of up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

The Department of Justice’s U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced Glover’s guilty plea, which took place before U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr.

According to the investigation, on December 14, 2022, a Jamestown Police officer spotted Glover in a vehicle and immediately pulled him over, knowing that Glover was suspended from driving. Glover then handed over a glass pipe containing methamphetamine residue and was detained.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a digital scale with white crystal residue and a pistol, leading to Glover’s initial charge in New York State Court, where he was released on bail.

Glover’s felony conviction in 2019, which took place in Chautauqua County Court, legally prohibited him from possessing a firearm, making his guilty plea to this charge all the more severe.

This case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation, which utilizes a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach to identify, disrupt, and dismantle the highest-level criminal organizations threatening the United States.

The investigation was led by the Jamestown Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Drug Enforcement Administration, all of whom worked together to bring Glover to justice.

Glover’s sentencing is scheduled for August 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. before Judge Sinatra.
