Gonzalez Faces Ten Years for Illegal Re-Entry

EL PASO — A federal grand jury has hit the streets with a sledgehammer, indicting Irvin Gonzalez for his audacious illegal re-entry into the United States after being deported.

The 33-year-old Mexican National now sits in federal custody, staring down up to ten years behind bars for what amounts to a brazen defiance of American immigration laws. According to court documents, Gonzalez was caught red-handed on February 9, 2017, having slipped back into the country without authorization.
