Regina McAtee, Fake Adderall & Meth Distribution, Pennsylvania 2024

Ex-Greensburg Officer Regina McAtee admitted her role in a drug conspiracy involving the distribution of fake ‘Adderall’ pills. McAtee, 51, and ex-Chief Shawn Denning conspired with suppliers to order and distribute meth. Denning pleaded guilty earlier this year. U.S. Attorney Olshan vowed to continue pursuing drug dealers, regardless of their occupation. Sentencing set for August 22, 2024, with a max sentence of up to 20 years in prison and a fine of $1 million.

McAtee’s plea came before Judge Cathy Bissoon, who scheduled the sentencing hearing. Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicole Vasquez Schmitt is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The investigation was led by the DEA, USPSIS, IRS-CI, and FBI, with support from the OCDETF.

According to Olshan, McAtee’s duty was to combat drug dealing, not to facilitate it. Her collaboration with Denning is another example of law enforcement corruption that will be aggressively pursued. The investigation and prosecution are part of a larger effort to dismantle criminal networks threatening American communities.

The case underscores the importance of thorough vetting and monitoring within police departments to prevent such abuses of power. McAtee’s actions have shattered public trust in local law enforcement, a trust that must be restored through transparency and accountability.
