A Mexican National, Hector Hernandez, 43, pleaded guilty today for conspiring to distribute and distributing narcotics in and around Portland, Oregon after being extradited from Canada.
According to the United States Department of Justice, Hector Hernandez pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute and distribute narcotics, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846. The crime occurred around Portland, Oregon in 2024.
The indictment alleges that Hector Hernandez conspired with others to distribute and distribute narcotics in and around Portland, Oregon. The charges carry a maximum penalty of life in prison and a $10 million fine.
The guilty plea was entered before U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken in the District of Oregon.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Portland Field Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Jones is prosecuting the case.
Sentencing has been scheduled for June 17, 2024.
