Bogalusa Man Sentenced for Federal Drug Violations

NEW ORLEANS, LA – A Bogalusa man has been sentenced to 75 months imprisonment for his role in a drug trafficking conspiracy.

Henry Jermaine Miller, 41, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Barry W. Ashe on July 17, 2025, after pleading guilty to two counts of possession with intent to distribute heroin and methamphetamine, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1) and 841(b)(1)(C).

According to court documents, Miller conspired with other individuals in the Bogalusa area to distribute, and possess with the intent to distribute, a variety of drugs, including methamphetamine, heroin, and fentanyl. This conspiracy began in 2021 and continued through 2023.

Miller was also ordered to pay a mandatory $100 special assessment fee and serve three years of supervised release after his imprisonment.

Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson praised the work of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bogalusa Police Department in bringing this case to a successful conclusion. ‘The DEA and the Bogalusa Police Department did an outstanding job of investigating and prosecuting this case,’ Simpson said. ‘Their dedication to keeping our communities safe is evident in this result.’

This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stuart Theriot of the Narcotics Unit.
