The 31-year-old resident of Henryetta now faces a life sentence after being caught red-handed on October 3, 2024.
Wasson’s sinister activities were uncovered during an intense investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), which led to his downfall. According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, Wasson admitted to distributing at least 50 grams of the highly addictive Schedule II substance, a charge that carries a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years and up to life in federal prison.
With a fine of $10 million hanging over him, Wasson is now looking at a severe punishment. The court has ordered a presentence investigation report to be completed before sentencing, which will be determined by the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
Judge Jason A. Robertson, the U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted Wasson’s guilty plea and set the wheels in motion for his punishment. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jacob R. Parker represented the United States in this crucial case.
As of now, Wasson remains in the custody of the United States Marshals Service, awaiting sentencing that is sure to send a shockwave through the drug-ridden streets of Henryetta and beyond.
