CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – A pair of Clarksburg residents have been brought to justice for their involvement in a heroin and methamphetamine distribution ring in Harrison County.
John T. Skidmore, 35, was sentenced to 30 months incarceration after pleading guilty to one count of "Distribution of Heroin" and one count of "Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine" in February 2018. Skidmore admitted to selling heroin in March 2017 and distributing methamphetamine in April 2017.
Skidmore’s crimes took place in Harrison County, where law enforcement officials say they were part of a larger heroin and methamphetamine distribution ring.
Danielle Archambault, 28, was also sentenced to 18 months incarceration after pleading guilty to one count of "Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine" in February 2018. Archambault admitted to distributing methamphetamine in Harrison County and elsewhere in April 2017.
The cases were prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Traci M. Cook, who praised the work of the Greater Harrison County Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative.
The task force, which investigated the crimes, worked tirelessly to dismantle the heroin and methamphetamine distribution ring and bring those responsible to justice.
Sentencing was presided over by Senior U.S. District Judge Irene M. Keeley, who imposed the sentences on Skidmore and Archambault.
Law enforcement officials say the bust is a significant blow to the heroin and methamphetamine trade in Harrison County and will help to make the community safer.
