SPokane, Washington – In a major crackdown on illegal re-entry into the United States, five individuals with criminal records have been indicted for unlawfully returning after deportation. The Eastern District of Washington’s U.S. Attorney’s Office announced charges against Pablo Carmona-Carmona, age 47, Rodolfo Cortes-Sorroza, age 38, Alfredo Ventura-Gutierrez, age 48, Carlos Antonio Moran-Arce, age 52, and Raul Partida-Farias, age 50. All are Mexican nationals with prior convictions ranging from DUI to assault, burglary, and rape.
Carmona-Carmona faces child molestation charges in Yakima County. Cortes-Sorroza was arrested for residential burglary and failure to appear. Ventura-Gutierrez is awaiting trial on second-degree rape charges. Moran-Arce stands accused of a hit-and-run incident, while Partida-Farias faces DUI and theft allegations.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and other federal agencies are committed to protecting American citizens by targeting foreign nationals with criminal histories.
