TULSA, Okla. – Chad Henry Davis, 32-year-old former IT Technician, was handed a 87-month sentence today for his despicable activities of possessing child pornography and obtaining private data from colleagues.
The U.S. Circuit Judge Gustavo A. Gelpi, Jr., also ordered Davis to serve five years of supervised release post-imprisonment and register as a sex offender. His offenses included three counts of Obtaining Information by Computer from a Protected Computer, Possession of Fifteen or More Unauthorized Access Devices, Possession of Child Pornography, and two counts of Aggravated Identity Theft.
Court documents revealed that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a CyberTip leading to Davis’ possession of at least 12 images and two videos depicting child sexual abuse. He also admitted to accessing sensitive private photos of former colleagues, including minors, and collecting over 500 usernames and passwords from his coworkers.
Davis was caught red-handed by federal investigators who executed a warrant at his home, where they found he had remotely accessed his co-worker’s computers as an IT Technician. His actions were part of a broader cybercrime campaign that targeted personal banking, financial, medical, educational, and social media accounts.
The investigation was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations and the Tulsa Police Department, with Assistant U.S. Attorney George Jiang leading the prosecution. The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Davis will be transferred to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons and remain in custody until then.
