A disturbing case of child exploitation has come to light in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jack Clinton Brady Jr., a 67-year-old resident of the city, has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for receiving and possessing sexually explicit images and videos of minors.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, Brady possessed nearly 7,200 image and video files of child sexual abuse material, including depictions of the sadomasochistic abuse of children younger than 12 years of age. The images and videos were found on Brady’s laptop and external hard drives.
The case began in August 2021, when a family member discovered a video of child pornography on Brady’s laptop and contacted the authorities. The Tulsa Police Department responded to the call and identified the material as child pornography. Brady was a charter bus driver at the time and was scheduled to drive high school students to an event the following day.
During an interview with law enforcement, Brady admitted to downloading multiple computer files containing child sexual abuse material between January 1, 2018, and March 4, 2021. He also admitted to possessing the depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, including depictions of prepubescent minors under the age of 12.
As part of his sentence, Brady will be required to pay $39,000 in restitution to victims who were abused in the creation of the child sexual abuse material. The payment is mandated by the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act of 2018.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the U.S. Attorney’s offices. The initiative marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
