Jackie Madore, 45, of Rockland, Maine, pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute crack cocaine. The crime carried a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison and a $1,000,000 fine.
Bangor, Maine, U.S. Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II announced that Madore pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute and to distribute 280 grams of a mixture or substance containing cocaine base, commonly referred to as "crack."
According to court records, between January 2010 and December 2013, Madore sold crack in Penobscot County and elsewhere. She sold half-gram bags for $50 and gram bags for $100. The proceeds of her sales were transferred to her source of supply in the New Haven, Connecticut area, and she received cash and crack in return.
The crack was transported from Connecticut to the Bangor area by other conspirators. The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (New Haven Office) investigated the case.
Madore faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1,000,000 fine. She will be sentenced after the completion of a presentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office.
