A Marshall County man has pleaded guilty to distributing methamphetamine in April 2021.
James M. Renforth, 35, of Cameron, West Virginia, has admitted to selling the illicit substance. Renforth faces up to 20 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $1,000,000.
According to Acting United States Attorney Randolph J. Bernard’s announcement, Renforth’s guilty plea came after he admitted to selling methamphetamine in Marshall County on April 2021.
Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn M. Adkins is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The Marshall County Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated the case.
U.S. Magistrate Judge James P. Mazzone presided over the proceedings.
