Fresno Man Sentenced for Fentanyl Trafficking Conspiracy

Fresno, CA – In a shocking display of brazen disregard for human life, Jaquorey Rashawn Carter, 32, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for his role in a massive fentanyl trafficking conspiracy.

According to court documents, Carter was one of several individuals involved in a widespread fentanyl distribution network that brought the deadly substance to cities across the country. The investigation, led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, uncovered a complex web of dealers and suppliers who funneled massive quantities of fentanyl into the black market.

U.S. District Judge Alexandra Paradis Negin ultimately disagreed, handing down the 10-year sentence after a heated debate with Carter’s defense team. “The severity of this case cannot be overstated,” Judge Negin said in her ruling. “Fentanyl is a deadly substance that has ravaged communities across this country. Mr. Carter’s role in its distribution is a serious offense that demands serious punishment.”
