ST. LOUIS, MO – A disturbing case of child enticement has landed a St. Louis man behind bars for a decade. Jason Draggs, Jr., 24, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the coercion and enticement of a minor.
According to a plea agreement reached in November, Draggs used internet-based communication, including social media applications like Snapchat, to persuade three teenaged females to send him nude images and engage in sexual contact with him. The abuse occurred between April 1, 2020, and May 9, 2020.
Draggs knowingly engaged in multiple sexual acts with one of the victims, who was a minor at the time. Multiple videos were produced of these sexual acts and were exchanged and stored via Snapchat.
The St. Louis County Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated the case, which led to Draggs’ guilty plea and subsequent sentencing.
The exact dates of the abuse, April 1, 2020, to May 9, 2020, and the fact that Draggs used social media to coerce and entice the minors highlight the dangers of online predators.
As a result of his actions, Draggs will serve 10 years in prison. This harsh sentence serves as a reminder that child enticement is a serious crime with severe consequences.
The case serves as a warning to parents and guardians to be vigilant about their children’s online activities and to educate them about the risks of online predators.
