Jason Edward D’Arc, Distribution of Cocaine, West Virginia 2020

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – A Charleston man was sentenced to four years in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for distribution of cocaine. Jason Edward D’Arc, 40, sold a total of almost three-quarters of a pound of cocaine to a confidential informant on four occasions in January and February 2020.

The drug sales occurred at D’Arc’s residence and a sandwich shop he managed in downtown Charleston. According to court documents and statements made in court, D’Arc sold a significant amount of cocaine to an undercover informant, resulting in his indictment and eventual sentencing.

United States Attorney Will Thompson made the announcement and commended the investigative work of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Charleston Police Department. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) provided assistance during the investigation.

Sentencing took place on an unspecified date, although it occurred after an investigation that spanned from January to February 2020. Senior United States District Judge John T. Copenhaver, Jr. imposed the sentence. Assistant United States Attorney Nowles Heinrich prosecuted the case.
