A Neenah man is behind bars after being indicted for child pornography production in a federal grand jury.
Acting United States Attorney Richard G. Frohling announced that on September 9, 2025, a federal grand jury issued a two-count indictment alleging that Jeffrey J. Haskell (age: 26), of Neenah, Wisconsin, used minor children to produce child pornography, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 2251(a) and 2251(e).
According to the indictment, on or about January 11, 2025, and again on or about January 24, 2025, Jeffrey J. Haskell “knowingly employed, used, persuaded, induced, enticed, and coerced” minor children for the purpose of “producing a visual depiction” of the minors engaged in “sexually explicit conduct.”
If convicted of either charge alleged in the indictment Haskell faces a mandatory 15 years’ imprisonment and up to 30 years’ imprisonment. He could also be fined up to $250,000 per count and would be required to register as a sexual offender under state and federal law.
The case was investigated by the Neenah Police Department and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel R. Humble.
An indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the government must prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006, by the U.S. Department of Justice. Led by U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
The case is a stark reminder of the ongoing threat of child sexual exploitation and the importance of continued efforts to combat it.
