Jeremy Michael Kohler, a 34-year-old man from Wrightsville, Pennsylvania, has been handed a 10-year prison sentence for his involvement in a methamphetamine trafficking operation.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, Kohler was sentenced to 130 months in prison by U.S. District Court Judge Jennifer P. Wilson for his role in the methamphetamine trafficking ring.
On July 2, 2020, Kohler was stopped in a vehicle with over 400 grams of methamphetamine, alongside his codefendant, Nicole Botterbusch.
Bottterbusch and Kohler had previously entered guilty pleas to drug trafficking charges. While Kohler has been sentenced, Botterbusch is still awaiting her sentencing.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Consiglio prosecuting the case.
This comes as a significant blow to the methamphetamine trafficking operation in the region, with Kohler’s prison sentence serving as a stern warning to those involved in similar activities.
With the rise of methamphetamine-related crimes in the area, this sentence serves as a testament to the efforts of law enforcement agencies in combating the issue.
