John Quentin London, 39, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, faced a grim fate today as he was sentenced to 188 months in prison followed by six years of supervised release for drug and gun offenses. The sentence, totaling over 15 years, comes on the heels of an investigation that exposed London’s relentless pursuit of illegal activities while under federal supervision.
According to court records, London had been distributing drugs in Henderson County, North Carolina, while serving a term for a firearm conviction. His latest transgressions began with a traffic stop where law enforcement seized methamphetamine and digital scales hidden in his vehicle. This was only the beginning of a string of events that led to his downfall.
In April 2024, London attempted to flee from authorities after being pulled over, culminating in a high-speed chase and subsequent arrest. During this incident, London was caught with cocaine and more drug paraphernalia. A subsequent search of his residence yielded even more illegal substances and a stolen firearm.
London’s luck ran out again on July 25, when he was stopped for another traffic violation, only to be found in possession of a significant amount of methamphetamine. His final brush with law enforcement came on August 27, where he was arrested hiding in a camper after an extensive manhunt. A loaded pistol and more drugs were recovered at the scene.
On June 30, 2025, London pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a felon. His criminal history, including two prior felony convictions for drug trafficking, qualified him as a career offender, leading to the enhanced sentence. London will now serve his time in federal prison.
U.S. Attorney Russ Ferguson acknowledged the efforts of the ATF and Henderson County Sheriff’s Office in bringing London to justice. Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher S. Hess handled the prosecution. This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at eliminating cartels, transnational criminal organizations, and protecting communities from violent crime.
