Four Topeka men have been charged in a series of commercial robberies, leaving a trail of destruction and fear in their wake.

The suspects, Johnnie Lee McCall, 28, Jordan Christopher Lucas, 26, Alonzo Nathan Lax, 26, and David Pierre Wigfall, 22, all of Topeka, Kan., were charged with various crimes related to the robberies.

According to the indictment, the group allegedly targeted several businesses in Topeka, including a Dollar General store, a Baskin Robbins, and a Little Caesars. They allegedly brandished firearms during the robberies, putting innocent lives at risk.

On February 12, McCall and Lucas robbed the Dollar General store at 1001 SW Fairlawn Road in Topeka. On February 27, McCall, Lucas, and Lax robbed the Baskin Robbins at 4400 SW 21st Street in Topeka, allegedly brandishing firearms during the robbery. On March 1, McCall, Lax, and Wigfall robbed Little Caesars at 2620 SW Sixth, Suite B, in Topeka, also allegedly brandishing firearms during the robberies.

The Topeka Police Department and the FBI investigated the crimes, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Jared Maag prosecuting the case. The indictment alleges serious crimes, including commercial robbery and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
