Jordan Munah Yow Choy Anthony, Transportation Of Another With Intent To Engage In Illegal Sexual Activity, Arizona 2013

TUCSON, Ariz. – A Utah man has been sentenced to four years in prison for his role in a sex crime that spanned multiple states, including Arizona.

According to court documents, Jordan Munah Yow Choy Anthony, 21, of Pleasant Grove, Utah, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Raner C. Collins to four years in the Bureau of Prisons on March 25, 2013.

Following his incarceration, Anthony will be on lifetime supervision with sex offender conditions, including registering as a sex offender.

The charges against Anthony stem from his interactions with a 14-year-old minor in Arizona, which he initiated through the internet and a cellular phone in March 2011.

Anthony traveled from his hometown in Pleasant Grove, Utah, to Arizona to pick up the minor at her residence, and then continued on to Galveston, Texas, with the intention of driving to Florida.

The investigation into Anthony’s actions was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, and the Galveston, Texas, Police Department.

Raquel Arellano, Assistant U.S. Attorney, District of Arizona, Tucson, handled the prosecution of Anthony’s case.

Anthony pleaded guilty on Nov. 2, 2012, to transportation of another with intent to engage in illegal sexual activity.

The case number is CR-11-1387-TUC-RCC.
