Jose Angel Robles-Alvarez, Illegal Re-Entry, Pennsylvania 2022

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania – A 38-year-old man has been sentenced to time served after pleading guilty to re-entering the United States illegally.

Jose Angel Robles-Alvarez, 38, was sentenced to time served of 33 days’ imprisonment and one year of supervised release by United States District Court Judge Christopher C. Conner for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien.

According to United States Attorney John C. Gurganus, Robles-Alvarez pleaded guilty to having illegally reentered the United States sometime after his last removal in October 2015. He was located on September 3, 2020, in Adams County, Pennsylvania, after an arrest which resulted in a DUI conviction.

It is expected that Robles-Alvarez will be removed to Mexico at the completion of his sentence.

The matter was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Joanne M. Sanderson.
