Waco Man Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Methamphetamine Manufacturing
WACO, Texas – On September 30, 2020, Joshua David Villalobos, 41, was observed draining liquid methamphetamine from a trailer parked in an alleyway behind Proctor Avenue in Waco.
According to court documents, over nine gallons of liquid methamphetamine base were recovered from the trailer – enough to produce an estimated 80 pounds of methamphetamine powder.
On May 18, 2021, Villalobos pleaded guilty to attempting to manufacture methamphetamine. Villalobos has remained in federal custody since his arrest on October 6, 2020.
The Waco Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit investigated the case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephanie Smith-Burris prosecuting the case.
U.S. Attorney Ashley C. Hoff of the Western District of Texas and Waco Police Chief Sheryl D. Victorian announced the sentencing.
Villalobos was sentenced to 20 years in prison for attempting to manufacture methamphetamine. The 41-year-old Waco man remains in federal custody.
