Abdiaziz Shafii Farah, a 37-year-old man, attempted to bribe a federal juror with $120,000 in cash during his 2024 trial for exploiting a federally funded child nutrition program in St. Paul, Minnesota. The bribe was meant to secure a not-guilty verdict in the Feeding Our Future fraud scheme. Farah and his associates researched the juror online, surveilled her home, and tracked her movements before delivering the cash on June 2, 2024. The juror immediately reported the bribery attempt to law enforcement.
The FBI investigated the case, and Farah was sentenced to 120 months in prison on July 22, 2026, for his role in the bribery scheme. This sentence comes after Farah was previously sentenced on August 6, 2025, for his involvement in the Feeding Our Future fraud scheme.
According to United States Attorney Daniel N. Rosen, ‘Tampering with a juror is an assault on the integrity of the courts and the foundation of our democracy.’ The sentence sends a strong message that justice is not for sale.
