BUFFALO, N.Y. – A Cheektowaga man has been sentenced to 12 months in prison and four years of additional supervised release for violating the terms of his supervised release.
On August 10, 2016, Justin Jeffrey Amato, 33, was convicted of violating his supervised release, which was a result of a 2011 conviction for possession of child pornography.
During his term of supervised release, Amato was ordered not to have deliberate contact with any child under 18 years of age.
However, Amato was convicted of having frequent contact with a two-year-old minor child and visiting two separate public facilities that feature activities for children.
The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Probation Office.
