Justin Lee Boyer, Child Pornography, Oklahoma 2017

A 32-year-old Sapulpa man pleaded guilty to a shocking child pornography offense in federal court in Oklahoma. Justin Lee Boyer admitted to persuading and enticing a 10-year-old girl to send him explicit photos.

According to court documents, the crime occurred in October 2017. Boyer faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years, up to a maximum penalty of 50 years in prison, and a $250,000 fine. Following his prison sentence, he will face a term of supervised release of at least 5 years.

United States Attorney R. Trent Shores praised the work of law enforcement partners who worked tirelessly to stop child exploitation.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

The charges are a result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in Colorado, the Creek County Sheriff’s Office, and the Sapulpa Police Department.

Assistant United States Attorneys Jeffrey A. Gallant and Shannon B. Cozzoni handled the prosecution of this case.
