Five Men Sentenced to Prison for Dayton Methamphetamine Trafficking Ring

DAYTON, Ohio – Five local men have been sentenced to prison for their roles in a methamphetamine trafficking organization that distributed bulk amounts of the drug to the greater Dayton region.

The defendants, who used the alias ‘Jose,’ were involved in a drug trafficking organization that distributed and possessed with the intent to distribute more than 400 grams of methamphetamine and other narcotics.

According to court documents, the investigation, led by the Drug Enforcement Administration, uncovered a large-scale methamphetamine operation that was active from September 2020 until January 2021.

Justus Ruby, 26, of Englewood, Ohio, was sentenced to 78 months in prison for his role in the organization. Ruby was also found to have sold fentanyl to drug users from the state of Indiana during the investigation.

William Green III, 27, of Dayton, Ohio, was sentenced to 97 months in prison for his involvement in the organization. Investigators executed a search warrant at Green’s property and seized a respirator, rubber gloves, paraphernalia, and bulk amounts of methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Robert Walker, 30, of Dayton, Ohio, was sentenced to 110 months in prison for his role in the organization. Walker is currently incarcerated in Indiana for conspiracy to commit murder and will serve his federal sentence partially consecutive to his state term of imprisonment.

Andre Figures, 38, of Dayton, Ohio, was sentenced to 36 months in prison for his involvement in the organization.

D’Erius Warfield, 28, of Dayton, Ohio, was sentenced to 74 months in prison for his role in the organization.

The investigation was conducted as part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) initiative, which uses a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach to identify, disrupt, and dismantle criminal organizations that threaten the United States.

The defendants’ sentences were announced by Kenneth L. Parker, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, and Orville O. Greene, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
