Kareem Davis, Murder, New York 2011

Bronx Gang Member Sentenced to Life in Prison for 2011 Murder of Bolivia Beck

A Bronx gang member has been sentenced to life in prison for the 2011 murder of Bolivia Beck.

Kareem Davis, also known as ‘Reem,’ was found guilty of conspiring to commit racketeering, murder in aid of racketeering, and murder through the use of a firearm in December 2019.

According to the indictment and trial evidence, Davis was a member of the violent street gang Killbrook, which had been engaged in a violent rivalry with the MBG gang in the Mill Brook Houses.

On April 18, 2011, Davis and his brother planned to kill a rival MBG member, but instead, Davis shot and killed 20-year-old Bolivia Beck, who was standing next to her boyfriend in the Mill Brook Houses.

Davis also committed other crimes in connection with his membership in Killbrook, including drug dealing and robbery.

In addition to his prison term, Davis, 32, of the Bronx, was sentenced to five years of supervised release.

U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss praised the outstanding investigative work of the New York City Police Department in bringing Davis to justice.

The case is being prosecuted by the Office’s Violent and Organized Crime Unit, with Assistant United States Attorneys Christopher Clore, Jordan Estes, and Alexandra Rothman in charge of the prosecution.
