
Kayla Fair, a 36-year-old resident of Sharon, Pennsylvania, has been convicted of conspiring to distribute cocaine, according to a statement from United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan.
Fair pled guilty to conspiring to distribute cocaine in October 2021, before United States District Judge Cathy Bissoon. Judge Bissoon scheduled sentencing for March 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
Under the law, Fair faces a maximum total sentence of up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,000. The actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offense and the prior criminal history of the defendant.
Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller is prosecuting this case on behalf of the United States. The investigation leading to the conviction was conducted by the Mercer County Drug Task Force, the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
The Mercer County Drug Task Force, a multi-agency task force, was instrumental in the investigation. The task force is comprised of law enforcement agencies from Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan stated, “The conviction of Kayla Fair demonstrates our commitment to combating drug trafficking in the Western District of Pennsylvania.”
Olshan added, “We will continue to work tirelessly to disrupt and dismantle drug trafficking organizations, and bring those responsible to justice.”
