Tampa, Florida – In a stunning display of organized crime, two members of the notorious Robles Park Enterprise have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms for their roles in a series of violent crimes, including attempted murder, shootings, and widespread drug trafficking.
Keaujay Hornsby, a/k/a Plug, (26, Tampa) and Kareem Spann, a/k/a Reem, (27, Tampa) were sentenced by U.S. District Judge Mary S. Scriven after pleading guilty to charges stemming from their involvement in the RICO group.
The Robles Park Enterprise was responsible for a series of violent crimes, including a mass shooting outside the Truth Lounge club in Tampa on July 19, 2020. Hornsby and Spann were at the center of the attack, which left at least eight people injured, including minors.
According to court documents, Hornsby and Spann were driving through the crowded parking lot when they ignited a mass shooting, unleashing a barrage of gunfire into the crowd. Surveillance video captured the immediate chaos as the crowd scattered for safety.
The shooting resulted in the injury of at least eight people, including minors, some of whom were shot in the jaw, shoulder, elbow, wrist, finger, foot, arms, and legs. Law enforcement later recovered dozens of ammunition casings.
The Robles Park Enterprise was also involved in a series of other violent crimes, including a retaliatory shooting on July 25, 2020, and a drive-by shooting on July 27, 2020.
In addition to their roles in the violent crimes, Hornsby and Spann were also involved in widespread drug trafficking, including the distribution of cocaine, marijuana, and firearms.
The Enterprise was also responsible for a massive unemployment benefits scheme, in which they submitted over 200 fraudulent claims in 20 different states, with an intended loss of approximately $2.8 million dollars.
Hornsby was sentenced to 16 years and 9 months in federal prison, while Spann was sentenced to 10 years and 10 months. Both men will serve their sentences concurrently.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Tampa Police Department, and the Department of Labor, with substantial assistance from the United States Secret Service.
A third member of the conspiracy, Tywon Spann, was sentenced to six years and nine months imprisonment on June 10, 2022.
